·Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang forecast several partnerships with Korean conglomerate SK — including chipmaker SK hynix and telecom operator SK Telecom — at a return fried chicken dinner on Sunday.
·It was Huang's second visit to the same restaurant where an initial dinner took place in October last year, when he dined with two Korean heavyweights — Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong and Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Euisun Chung — for chimaek, the Korean term for fried chicken and beer.
·This time, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, along with representatives from SK affiliates including SK hynix and SK Telecom, met Huang separately at fried chicken chain Kkanbu Chicken's Samsung branch in Gangnam District, southern Seoul.
·"We had a very big year this year with SK Hynix and we are preparing for a very, very large second half of the year and next year," Huang told the press on the sidelines of the dinner.
·He emphasized that Nvidia's new AI supercomputer lineups — Vera Rubin and Vera CPU — unveiled earlier this month at Nvidia's Computex 2026 in Taipei, will rely on SK hynix's dynamic random-access memory (DRAM).
